In 2023 I celebrated my 14th year in business in the UK (after returning from living overseas). I can still remember vividly the first wedding I photographed all those years ago, and am constantly amazed at how quickly those years have flown by, and how many weddings I have photographed since then. Every year, I look back and smile at all the moments I have been witness to, and think how grateful I am to do this for a living.
I photographed weddings at many of my favourite venues this year including Wadhurst Castle, Penshurst Place, Nettlestead Place, Blackstock Country Estate, and Winters Barns. I returned to Eastwell Manor (first time after a few years) and finally photographed an outside ceremony there. I worked at some new venues nearby like Oak Tree Barn and Brookfield Barn, and travelled further afield to Brinsop Court in Hereford.
I had the honour of photographing the wedding of the son of my friend, and a wedding where the bride was previously the maid of honour at another wedding I'd photographed. I saw new photo opportunities at venues I have worked at many times before, and saw inspiration in every direction at new venues.
In short, it was really good year and I look forward to seeing what 2024 brings. Here is a selection of my favourites from 2023.
