And just like that another year has gone by. Not to sound old, but that was fast for everyone, wasn't it? A quarter of the 21st century has now gone, & equally unbelievable, my company, celebrated its 16th birthday. Time sure does fly when you're running your own business.

I started my wedding season off in 2025 with a return to Winters Barns over in Canterbury. I first photographed a wedding there back in 2012 & as you can imagine, it's changed a lot over the years. I also returned to Notley Abbey in Buckinghamshire - the venue of the very first wedding I ever photographed back in 2010 (!!!). Remarkably, this was the first time I’d been back there since. It’s a truly stunning venue, and I’m pleased to say I’ll be returning again in 2026.

Other venues that I returned to this year included Penshurst Place, Wadhurst Castle, Nettlestead Place, The Plough in Leigh, Horsley Towers, The Beacon, Kingdom Penshurst, The Orangery, and Hoath House. I also photographed weddings at a couple of new venues for the first time: Gildredge Manor & The Limekiln.

As with all of these “best of” collections, I went through every wedding I photographed this year and selected a handful of favourites from each to share in this post. It’s always difficult — there are so many moments I feel an emotional connection to — and what’s intended to be a short list quickly becomes a long one (the initial selection was over 450 images). I’ve been strict, though, and eventually narrowed it down to the 150 images you’ll see below.
