On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Karolina & Alex’s wedding at the beautiful Hoath House in Chiddingstone.
It was a relaxed and intimate celebration with around fifty of their closest friends. Karolina got ready at the house with her hair and makeup artist, Alice from Lucent Hair & Makeup, while I photographed the lovely details of her dress (I can’t wait to share more of this one — it really was incredible), her jewellery, and flowers by Charlotte Roff.
Alex looked sharp for a few portraits before guests began to arrive, and soon everyone gathered for the ceremony. A sudden downpour and the lingering winds of Storm Amy meant the ceremony was moved inside — probably for the best, as it allowed everyone to fully appreciate the beautiful music from harpist Kate Ham.
The soft, ethereal notes played as Karolina walked down the aisle, and the two exchanged vows surrounded by autumnal décor and smiling faces. After the ceremony, everyone showered them in confetti and bubbles before drinks and mingling on the lawn.
Guests then enjoyed a relaxed buffet meal by Centre Catering, followed by a few heartfelt and funny speeches from close friends. As the evening light faded, Karolina & Alex cut their cake and shared their first dance to “Impossible” by Nothing But Thieves, before everyone joined them on the dancefloor.
A beautiful, heartfelt day from start to finish — relaxed, genuine, and full of love.
