Preview: Monika & Ashley’s Wedding Photography at Wadhurst Castle

On Saturday, I had the absolute joy of photographing Monika and Ash’s beautiful wedding at the stunning Wadhurst Castle in East Sussex. From the moment I arrived at the gates, the castle and its grounds looked picture-perfect in the summer light.

The day began in the elegant bridal suite, where Monika was joined by her maid of honour and mother-in-law. I captured the delicate details – her Suzanne Neville gown from 'The Pantiles Bride', sparkling jewellery, and the romantic blooms created by Flowers at Colonnade.

The ceremony took place in the Walled Garden, a truly magical setting. Monika’s father-in-law proudly walked her partway down the aisle before passing her to her own dad for the final steps. The soft notes of Ellen the Harpist drifted through the air as they exchanged vows in front of family and friends.

After a joyful confetti toss, the reception continued in the gardens, complete with canapés, lawn games, and harp music. Guests later moved into the dining room for a delicious meal by Amuse catering, punctuated with heartfelt speeches and vodka toasts - the drink of choice for Monika and her family from Lithuania.

As the evening sun dipped lower, we stole a quiet moment for portraits around the castle, before heading inside for the cake cutting in the Winter Garden and the first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love”.

Monika and Ash’s day was full of laughter, elegance, and little personal touches that made it uniquely theirs.

Sveikinu! (Congratulations!)
