Preview: Ellie & Alex’s Wedding Photography at Winters Barns

Yesterday was a pretty special day for Ellie & Alex. Not only did they get married, but they got married in the same church where Ellie's parents got married, and on the day after her parents' anniversary!

I started my coverage for them at Winters Barns where Ellie & her bridesmaids were getting ready in the salon, and Alex with his groomsmen were getting ready in the Pump Room. There was an issue with one of the wedding cars on the way to Winters Barns, but thankfully I hadn't left for the church yet, so was able to give the bridesmaids a lift to the church.

They had a lovely ceremony at Our Lady & Saint Benedict Church in Birchington conducted by Father Joe, discussing what is love, and how many of the things we say we love, isn't love in the true sense. As they signed the marriage register, one of Ellie's bridesmaids sang, and what a beautiful voice she has.

Everyone then greeted the newly weds outside with a confetti blessing before heading over to Winters Barns for the reception, via the wedding cars, & a routemaster double decker bus. At Winters Barns, they had live music from Santino Fabbricatore (I'd happily recommend him for anyone planning their wedding at the moment) and delicious canapes from Scott Anderson Catering.

After the meal, there were speeches from Ellie's father, Alex, Ellie, 2 of her bridesmaids, and the best men. I really enjoyed all the speeches, but a particular mention has to go to the comedy of Alex. He has a cracking sense of humour.

To start the party, Ellie & Alex had a first dance to "Are you ready for love" by Elton John and then it was full on party mode with live music from Soulshine Band.
