Preview: Georgia & Peter’s Wedding Photography at Horsley Towers

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Georgia & Peter’s wedding, beginning at Horsley Towers before heading to St Mary's Church, East Horsley for the ceremony and then back to Horsley Towers for the celebrations.

From chatting to Georgia & Peter before the wedding, it was obvious just how much music means to them both. Little did I know quite how much it would become the soundtrack to their entire day.

My coverage began at Horsley Towers, where Georgia was getting ready with her mum, four bridesmaids and the hair and make-up team. After photographing the bridal details, I headed over to join Peter and the groomsmen for buttonholes and a few portraits before returning to Georgia for some bridal portraits and a lovely first look with her dad.

Georgia then made the journey to St Mary's Church, East Horsley, in a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce, where guests were already inside for the ceremony.

The service included two readings, along with beautiful live music from one of the couple's friends and a sermon from the minister of Peter's local church. After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside to give the newlyweds a confetti blessing before they departed.

Back at Horsley Towers, guests enjoyed drinks, canapés and lawn games while we worked through the family photos. After the wedding breakfast, there were speeches from Georgia's dad, Peter's dad, Peter and the best man before everyone made their way through for the evening celebrations.

And this is where the day really became something special.

Peter's own band took to the stage to provide the evening entertainment, and after a few songs he joined them on lead guitar. Watching him perform in front of all their family and friends was brilliant enough, but then Georgia joined the band to sing Love Story. It was one of those moments that nobody expected, and it was genuinely incredible to witness. They're both exceptionally talented musicians, and seeing them perform together brought such a personal and memorable finish to an already wonderful day.
