Preview: Trudie & Seb’s Wedding Photography at Wadhurst CastleWadhurst Castle Recommended Photographer

I must have done something right in a previous life, as this Saturday I was back at Wadhurst Castle again – this time to photograph the wedding of Trudie & Seb. In fact, I must have done a few things right, because I seem to consistently get such damn nice couples to work with :).

Trudie and Seb (or Baz to most) were an absolute pleasure, and even when myself and Harry (videographer from Diamond 9 productions) suggested we walk out into a sheep (and sheep dropping full field), they were happy to oblige, trusting in us that the shots would be worth it.

I think they must have done a few things right as well, as even though the forecast was thunderstorms for 2pm (the time of their outside ceremony), there were a few drops of rain in the morning, but that all seemed to stop just before the ceremony. So close to the time in fact, that some guests were just putting the umbrellas down before Trudie walked into the walled garden for the nuptials.

Afterwards, they and their guests enjoyed champagne and canapes on the south lawn, before moving inside for the wedding breakfast and speeches. I really enjoyed their speeches and a particular tip of the hat has to go to the best man (Tom) for his speech. Without any notes in front of him, he gave an amazing speech – just the right balance of humourous digs at the groom, appreciation of their friendship and celebration of the newlywed’s love. Baz is going to be Tom’s best man in the not too distant future and has set the bar high!

After the meal, there was time for a few lawn games (and me getting hit by a beanbag during a game of ‘cornhole’) before everyone returned inside for the first dance and the party thereafter.

I had a great day with Trudie and Seb. Congratulations to you both and all the best for your future together.
