This weekend, I was back for another wedding in South West London. The Bride and Groom, Louise and Andrew, had selected the beautiful Grove House, at Roehampton University for their special day.
It was a beautiful and relaxed day, with fun and merriment throughout. They had a humanist ceremony, a mini-Olympics in the gardens (where the bride beat the groom at a spacehopper race), a piper leading them in to the wedding breakfast, and speeches from the two best men in the style of a court hearing about the groom's crimes (all just a bit of fun, and the guests acting as the jury, saw fit to forgive him of all his previous misdemeanors.)
Their first dance was one of the most hectic, fun, and involving I've ever seen at a wedding. It was a Ceilidh dance to 'Strip the Willow', and certainly got everyone fully into the mood of celebrating the night away.
