It seems that for every wedding that I have covered this year, the couple has been blessed with the weather, and yesterday's wedding at Salomons in Tunbridge Wells was no exception. With grotty Autumnal weather in the days leading up to the wedding, and immediately afterwards, no-one would have thought yesterday would enjoy such blue skies and sunshine. OK, there was a chilly north wind, but I didn't see that bothering anyone.
Our Bride and Groom, Sharon and Geoff arrived together in style; a beautiful silver Chrysler 300. We started the day with all the group pictures, and a few portraits of the bride and groom, and therefore made full use of the good weather and diminishing daylight.
Then it was off to chat with the registrars, and on to the ceremony in the Science theatre. For anyone that hasn't been to this venue, the idea of getting married in a theatre may sound a little strange, but let me tell you, this is one beautiful inside setting. The room was tastefully decorated, and the whole ceremony takes place with a magnificent organ as a background. The balcony at the rear of the room also provided an ideal elevated view for a shot of the couple and all of their guests.
With the group photos already covered, the couple could enjoy chatting to their guests after the ceremony. I captured candid shots of the events, then the speeches and cake cutting, and then bid them congratulations, farewell, and best wishes.
A lovely couple, an amazing wedding, and a beautiful autumn wedding.
