This weekend's Bride and Groom were Philippa and Dave, who were married at Finchcocks Musical Museum in Kent.
With torrential rain on the days both before and after their wedding, and nothing but sunshine all day on their wedding, they have to be one of the luckiest couples of the year.
I joined Philippa in the morning to photograph the bridal preparation, and the girls were bursting with laughter pretty much the whole time up until the ceremony. Finchcocks offers couples the ability to get ready, get married, and have the wedding breakfast all on location, so I was able to pop outside and capture some portraits of the groom and ushers, before returning for the final stages of bridal preparation.
The ceremony was short and beautifully conducted (by a lady who turned out to be the mum of an old school friend). After the ceremony, everyone headed out to the gardens to enjoy canapes, drinks, and the plentiful sunshine. With good weather shining down, it made for some very happy formal pictures and some bright and summery portraits of the bride and groom.
After a truly incredible wedding breakfast, I took the Bride and Groom outside for a few quick portraits in the warm light of the setting sun, and then it was time for speeches, followed by the First Dance.
It was a lovely wedding and I wish Dave and Philippa lots of happiness together.
