Preview: Serena & George’s Wedding Photography in Kent

George had specifically wanted their wedding to be in October in the belief that it would be nice and cool, & thus he wouldn't be too hot wearing his full wedding attire. So, when their day was greeted with an unexpected heatwave bringing 24 degree summer-worthy weather, and the wedding guests were commenting on what amazing weather it was, George was openly cursing their (mis)fortune. To be fair, he did do this with a smile on this face though, so whilst I'm sure he would have preferred it a little cooler, I suspect he was happy compared with how it could have turned out.

Most of their day took place at Serena's parents' house in Horsmonden. Serena and her family and bridal party got ready there in the morning, and then they had their drinks reception on the lawn, and wedding breakfast in a yurt marquee from LPH Bohemia. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful All Saints Church in Brenchley, just a short drive away. Rev. Andrew Axon conducted the marriage and he has a wonderful sense of humour. His sermon was full of off-the-cuff jokes mixed in amongst a list of tips for a happy marriage. It really was lovely and although Rev. Andrew was only filling in at the church whilst the resident reverend is unwell, I certainly hope to work with him again soon.

After the ceremony, Serena and George were driven to the house in a stunning Rolls Royce Silver Cloud from Distinctly Vintage, and there was a vintage bus taking various guests. Everyone then enjoyed drinks and canapes, and then a delicious 3 course wedding breakfast - all by Amuse Private Caterers.

There were speeches from the father of the bride, the groom, and best man, with one of George's 17 groomsmen acting as MC. With everyone well fed, they had the Blue Lion Band providing the evening music, and the dance floor was rammed from the first dance ending to when I left.

Congratulations Serena & George! Wishing you lots of happiness together.
