Ria & Pete had to delay their wedding once from 2020 to 2021, and then again to 2022. One effect of those delays is that they have welcomed two beautiful children into the world, which prompted Pete to comment in his speech, that he never expected half of all the children at his wedding would be his. What a beautiful thing to occur - to have your children, the people you love most on the planet, be there for the day when you're getting married. I think that's a pretty good silver lining to the wedding being delayed.
Ria & Pete chose Winters Barns in Canterbury for their venue. It's a lovely venue that I have worked at many times over the years, and Ria & Pete made full use of it's offerings, with Ria getting ready in the salon, they had their ceremony in one barn, made use of the grounds for the reception, the other barn for the wedding breakfast, and then back to the ceremony barn for the evening party.
The weather had turned a little colder in the week before the wedding, but their day was blessed with plentiful glorious sunshine. The preview shot below was taken after their wedding breakfast and before the speeches started. We left the comforting warmth of the barn and despite the perfect blue skies, were immediately blasted by icy winds that were a swift reminder of the Wintry temperature. Luckily when the couple are this far away though, you can't see goosebumps and it just looks like they are enjoying a sunny day.
