Preview: Jess & Sam’s Wedding Photography at Nettlestead Place

The undercroft at Nettlestead Place is surely one of the most striking and unique ceremony locations in Kent. You can't help but wonder what events it has been host to throughout it's near 800 years of history. It looks amazing without any supplementary decoration, and yet the styling Jess and Sam had chosen took the atmosphere to another level. They had flowers with fairy lights surrounding the pillars and candles around the room - it looked incredible and they may have set the standard for all ceremonies there going forward.

Jess & Sam had their whole wedding day at Nettlestead Place, with Jess getting ready there in the morning, their ceremony in the undercroft and their reception / party in the grounds and marquee. They made full use of this beautiful venue, and thanks to a lovely mix of sun and clouds, we were able to utilise most of the grounds for photos at different times. I had a great time with these two, and particularly loved the speeches before the wedding breakfast. Annie (Jess's Maid of Honour) gave a beautiful account of their friendship plus thanks to Jess's parents, that was so heartfelt that many a tear were shed in the room. Sam's best man (and brother) 's speech however was comedy gold. I won't repeat the jokes here but the whole room was in stitches laughing. He delivered the jokes perfectly.

I'll have to revisit this blog post in the future and add a couple of shots of the ceremony room, but for now, I wanted to share this one of the newly married couple by the pond, with the magnificent house behind them.

Congratulations Jess & Sam!
