I started my coverage of Charlotte & Ryan's wedding at the Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, where Charlotte was getting ready with her mum, the mother of the groom, her two bridesmaids, and her flowergirl. They were then taken to Penshurst Place with the bride and her father in a stunning classic 'Beauford', with the bridesmaids and flowergirl in a 'Daimler' from 'Kent & Medway Cars.'
Charlotte and Ryan had chosen an outside ceremony in the courtyard at Penshurst Place with a string quartet playing before and after, and Hayley Woolby officiating. Once married, they were congratulated by their guests with bubble confetti as they walked down the aisle. During this time, a rather special guest made a surprise (only the groom knew) visit, Toastmaster Paul Tredgett, who was fully dressed in costume as Henry VIII!
The happy couple and their guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the courtyard before moving into the Barons Hall for the wedding breakfast. During this time, they had the extremely talented Cecily Beer playing the harp. I am continually impressed with the skill harpists display, but Cecily's rendition of a tune from Interstellar was another level. Absolutely immaculate.
There were wedding speeches from the father of the bride, the groom, and best man, with a special toast from the Royal guest, Henry VIII.
Once the cake was cut, it was soon time for Charlotte and Ryan to have their first dance, which was to 'Can you feel the love tonight.' After this Charlotte danced with her father, before the guests joined the dancefloor with great enthusiasm.
