One thing I have noticed this wedding season is how extra emotional all weddings are. I realise that most people will assume this is the case for weddings generally, and you’re right, but this year they seem even more charged. We’ve all had different experiences of the last 18 months but I think it’s fair to say they have been challenging for all of us. I hear snippets of the hardships people have been through in the speeches at each wedding & I see how much closer people are now. Couples are battle proven, families are even tighter, and friendships strengthened to Oak levels. It makes me feel even more appreciative of being the one chosen to photograph the weddings.
I joined Becky at her beautiful parent’s house in Wadhurst where her, her family, and her bridesmaids got ready. Then it was off to St. Paul’s church in Rusthall for the ceremony – a church with strong family connections for the couple, and onto the beautiful Wadhurst Castle for the reception. They enjoyed games on the South Lawn, their wedding breakfast in the new barn, and a cracking party in the main castle.
