There was something about Linda & Steve’s wedding at The Barnyard that had a real holiday feel to it. I’m not sure if it was the unexpected beautiful sunshine, the fact it was a new venue for me, or just the much needed change of scenery that we’re all craving at the moment, but it really felt like being in a different country. And I wasn’t alone in thinking this; in talking to Linda and Steve in the evening, they mentioned that a number of guests had said the same.
This was my first time providing wedding photography at The Barnyard in Upchurch, near Sittingbourne in Kent, and I look forward to returning there again. Surrounded by orchards and rolling hills, it is lovely venue in an amazing location, and with kind weather Linda and Steve were able to fully enjoy the offerings there. They had an outside ceremony in the beautiful grounds, with drinks on the lawn, photos in the orchards, and a first dance outside. I loved exploring the venue with them for their portraits, and couldn’t resist this fairy-light surrounded walkway for a night-time portrait. With enough light in the post-sunset sky to keep it blue, contrasting with the warm orange of fairy lights, you tell me, doesn’t it have a holiday feel to it?
Congratulations to Linda and Steve! It was a pleasure photographing your wedding.
