Last year was the first time I had put together a collection of my favourite images from across the year. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found myself looking forward to doing the same for my 2016 weddings. As expected, I loved it. It’s amazing how a photo can bring back so many of the feelings you experienced at the moment it was taken. I was smiling constantly when going through the weddings I have photographed and overwhelmed with love for the job I get to do. It means so much to me to be a part of every single wedding that I photograph – I give my all to each one of them, and feel thoroughly rewarded in reading such lovely words of thanks from the couples after they see their images.
Once again, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings at a wide variety of venues this year. I was back at Winters Barns many times and love it every time. That venue never fails to deliver and their staff are always a pleasure to work with. I photographed my first wedding at Leeds Castle and instantly fell in love with the place. I can’t wait to return there again. I worked at amazing historic venues like Lewes Castle, Tonbridge Castle, and Michelham Priory, and also beautiful garden weddings and what is becoming one of my favourite venues, the rustic perfection, Chafford Park. People sometimes ask me what is my absolute favourite wedding venue and I could probably give 7 different answers on 7 different days. Each one offers something different and perhaps because they tend to be so well chosen by each of the couples for suiting their personalities, each one seems perfect to me in it’s own way.
So here it is: A narrowed down collection of my favourite wedding photography from 2016. It’s a little longer than I planned, but I found it impossible to cut the selection down any more, and even writing this now, am thinking of other photos I’d liked to have included. However, I fully intend to blog more of the weddings individually so keep an eye on the website for more weddings as they go live.
I hope you enjoy looking through the images and for those people reading this whose wedding I am yet to photograph, I cannot wait for your day to arrive!
