Preview: Antalia & Alex’s Wedding Photography at Nettlestead Place

On Saturday I had the pleasure of being Antalia & Alex's wedding photographer at Nettlestead Place in Kent. I joined Antalia in the morning at Nettlestead Place, where she was getting ready in the bridal suite with her bridesmaids and mum. Hair and make-up was being looked after by 'Cat Pink Hair & Make-up.'

They'd chosen the stunning undercroft for their ceremony, and Antalia's grandfather had the honour of walking her down the aisle. Another honoured role for the day was taken by their Sprocker Spaniel 'Archer' who enthusiastically carried the rings to them after their vows. They had guitarist Alan Oliver providing some amazing backing music before and after the ceremony. I particularly loved the tune Antalia walked down to the aisle to ('Concerning Hobbits' from The Lord of the Rings).

After the ceremony, their guests greeted them outside with a confetti blessing, before everyone moved to the marquee for the drinks reception.

Speeches were given by the mother of the bride, the best men, the groom, and very nearly, the Aunty of the groom who took her special mention & thanks by the groom as an invite to say a few words. The relationship between groom and Aunty is obviously very special and her heartfelt reaction to his mention was priceless.

In the evening, I took the newly weds for a few portraits around the beautiful grounds at Nettlestead Place, before they started their evening party with a first dance to "Romeo & Juliet" by Dire Straits. I love Dire Straits and absolutely loved this choice of song - everyone there was singing along to it.

Congratulations Antalia & Alex! It was a pleasure.
