Preview: Annie & Barney’s Wedding Photography at Nettlestead Place

Annie & Barney wanted their wedding to be a real party. I can tell you without any hesitation that they succeeded 100%. The atmosphere to their day was amazing. This was partly due to the energy clearly given off by the couple themselves, and then mix in their similarly minded friends and family, a drinking game, & lots of music (they had one singer during their ceremony, and a second singer after the wedding breakfast) and you have a great recipe for a party.

They had their ceremony in the undercroft at Nettlestead Place, and from then on, it was full on celebration. A confetti blessing on the way to drinks reception, then onto the marquee for a BBQ wedding breakfast, before the 2nd singer started with a carefully chosen playlist. The couple and numerous guests were straight onto their feet, dancing in between the tables (and on the chairs), and the whole marquee was buzzing. It was so much fun to photograph.

They then moved on to the speeches which included a drinking game with every guest randomly given a word or phrase, such as "Barney", "Annie", "Wedding", "Lovely Day", etc., which required the guests to take a sip on any & every occurance of their chosen word being said - during the speeches, and according the instructions of Chris (one of the best men), they should continue this on for the rest of the evening. I love a bit of guest participation during the speeches, and this went down very well.

After the speeches, there was more live singing with lots more dancing, and then Annie & Barney did their first dance to kick off the DJ set, which if possible, took everything up another notch.

Congratulations Annie & Barney - it was a real pleasure.
