Preview: Hollie & Charlie’s Wedding Photography at Chafford Park

Hollie & Charlie certainly picked a memorable day to get married at Chafford Park! With Storm Boelo sweeping across the country, bringing torrential rain, strong winds and fallen trees, the weather was determined to make its presence felt. Thankfully, it did nothing to dampen the celebrations.

The day began with Hollie getting ready in the Long Barn, surrounded by her family, bridesmaids and close friends, while Charlie prepared with his groomsmen. Their ceremony took place in the Ceremony Barn, led by a family friend, with live music from local singer Anouska accompanying some of the key moments.

Despite the weather, everyone was in great spirits as the celebrations continued with drinks, canapés and entertainment from magician Ben. Hollie & Charlie's golden retriever, Lola, also joined them for some photographs, ensuring she didn't miss out on their special day.

The speeches took place before the wedding breakfast, with contributions from best man Jack, Hollie's dad David and Charlie himself. Then, just as the main meal was being served, the storm decided it hadn't quite finished with us. The power went out! With trees down across roads in the area, it could have been a rather lengthy interruption, but thankfully engineers from the National Grid managed to restore the electricity remarkably quickly. When the lights came back on, everyone had another reason to cheer!

As darkness fell, the rain continued, but I couldn't resist asking Hollie & Charlie if they'd brave the weather for a portrait. Armed with an umbrella, we headed out into the rain, with the lights of Chafford Park providing a beautiful backdrop. The resulting photograph rather perfectly sums up the day — whatever the weather threw at them, nothing was going to stop these two enjoying their wedding.

Congratulations Hollie & Charlie — thank you for having me there to capture your day!
