Greer & Matt's beautiful wedding at Wadhurst Castle clearly illustrated their love of travel, with the guest invitations styled as passports and the theme continuing beautifully throughout the day. Another detail that deserves a special mention was Greer's wedding dress, lovingly made by her mum. Knowing the time, skill and love that must have gone into creating it made it all the more special, and I heard numerous people throughout the day commenting on how amazing it looked.
Their ceremony took place outside in the Walled Garden, with both of Greer's parents walking her down the aisle. Alongside two readings, family and friends joined together in song, accompanied by a string quartet, creating a wonderfully uplifting atmosphere before bubbles filled the air as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle together.
The travel theme really came to life during the wedding breakfast, with a seating plan designed as an airport departures board, place names styled as boarding passes, each featuring a unique personal message, and even designated "captains" for every table.
Before the wedding breakfast began, Greer's sister Seren, who was also acting as MC for the day, welcomed everyone with one of the most original introductions I've heard. Styled as an airline safety announcement, she prepared everyone for the "journey" ahead, weaving in the meal and speeches with plenty of humour. It was brilliantly written, beautifully delivered, and had the whole room smiling before dinner had even begun.
The speeches themselves continued the celebrations, with contributions from Greer's dad, Matt's mum, the two best men and Matt.
Dessert was enjoyed outside on the lawn in the form of ice creams, making the most of the beautiful summer evening before everyone headed back inside for what would become one of the highlights of the day.
After a quick outfit change, Greer & Matt took to the dancefloor for an incredible performance inspired by The Greatest Showman, choreographed by Seren. It was far more than a first dance, featuring props, lifts and surprise appearances from family members. It genuinely felt like watching a stage production and brought the perfect finish to a wedding that had been full of creativity from beginning to end. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear.
