Preview: Claire & Robin’s Wedding Photography at The Beacon

Claire & Robin's wedding at The Beacon in Tunbridge Wells was a wonderfully relaxed summer celebration, with glorious views across the Kent countryside.

Their ceremony took place in the amphitheatre (thankfully the predicted thunderstorm stayed away), with a reading from Robin's sister before the couple exchanged their vows.

Now, of course, I do have to mention a certain incident that occurred during the ceremony. When taking Claire's wedding ring from the box, carefully held by best man Jack, Robin dropped the ring. This wouldn't normally be much cause for concern, except at this location they were standing on a raised platform with gaps between the wooden planks! Thankfully, the ring landed safely away from the gaps and the ceremony continued. As you can imagine though, it was referenced throughout the rest of the day, and I don't think anyone will forget their ceremony!

Afterwards, everyone gathered for confetti before enjoying drinks, canapés and garden games in the sunshine. The speeches were spread throughout the wedding breakfast, with Claire's dad beginning before the starter, Robin speaking before the main course, and the two best men taking their turn before dessert.

Everyone then headed up to the main building, where Claire changed into her evening/dancing dress, which she'd made herself. They then cut their wedding cake, made by Claire's sister, before taking to the dancefloor for their first dance to Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. It wasn't long before their guests were invited to join them, with Soul Town Funk taking over to get the party properly underway.

We finished my coverage with one last portrait outside as the light faded over The Beacon — a lovely way to end a very cool summer wedding.
