My coverage for Dee & Simon's wedding started at The Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. By a coincidence, Dee & I were saying that this was probably where we first met, as this had been the location for a weekly business networking event we used to attend (sometime around 9 years ago). Dee was joined by 3 adult bridesmaids and later by 4 teenage bridesmaids, and her mother and brother (who would be walking her down the aisle). Once ready they all headed over to Penshurst Place for the ceremony and celebrations.
They had a beautiful outside ceremony in the courtyard at Penshurst Place with a trio of singers providing intro and exit music. This was well appreciated by the couple and their guests, and the music perfectly filled the courtyard space. Then then had photos on the lawn overlooking the Rose Garden and then drinks and canapes back in the courtyard.
A real standout of the day for me, was the surprise dance that Dee and her friends performed for Simon. Around 30 minutes after the first dance, Simon was called to the dance floor and sat on a chair at the edge. Dee and her friends appeared and executed perfectly a well-practiced routine to Beyonce's 'Crazy in Love', as Simon's eyes were full of appreciative love for his wife. It was a beautiful moment.
