As part of my intention to share more of the beautiful weddings I have photographed, I'd like to show you Ali and Matt's quintessentially English Wedding. They had their ceremony at St. Deny's Church in Rotherfield, the village where Ali grew up. This is a beautiful church which dates back to 1060, and has a Yew Tree in the grounds which is said to be over 1500 years old. There ceremony was conducted by the Arch Deacon of Lewes who gave a lovely and personal service.
After celebrations and congratulations outside, the Bride and Groom left for their reception venue in a classic Morris Minor. With Matt in a tailor made suit from Shanghai and Ali in a Martina Liana designed dress from Isabella Grace, they looked a perfect picture and I was so pleased that their chosen venue, Hendall Manor Barns, had so many incredible locations for portraits. I've been the Hendall Manor Wedding Photographer a few times now and it's definitely one of my favourite wedding venues. The owners are extremely helpful and do everything to help you put together your perfect wedding. For photographers, there are lots of different locations all affording different looks for portraits. It really is a wonderfully special wedding venue.
Once everyone had arrived at Hendall Manor Barns, the party started. Guests enjoyed playing games in the garden area, drinks and canapes were served, and Ali and Matt had even hired an ice-cream trolly for dessert for everyone (I love this idea).
After the meal, I took Ali and and Matt, with their bridesmaids and ushers back out around the grounds for a few more photos, taking advantage of the gorgeous summer evening. They're obviously a fun and outgoing couple and were very happy to have a laugh and do a few alternative wedding photography portraits.
