One thing most people know about me is that I love my food. I have a fast metabolism and tend to eat a lot and often, and as such I care about what I eat. This has led to a real appreciation of food good.
Therefore, it should come as no surprise that one of the real benefits to me of photographing weddings, is the food I get to enjoy as part of the day. I’m usually too busy shooting to partake in the canapes but more often than not I do get the chance to enjoy some or all of the main wedding breakfast meal.
I must have shot over a 100 weddings now, so have had lots of different food from lots of venues and lots of catering companies. More often than not, the food is good, but is nothing to write especially about. This weekend I was photographing the wedding of Jennifer and Richard in Mayfield and had the chance to work alongside Purple Pumpkin catering.
The first thing that struck me was the impeccable presentation of every single starter being brought from the kitchen area. The consistency of excellency was amazing considering the number of people being catered for (around 120), and the food looked delicious. This is a picture of the starter:
So, if you’re a food lover and want a truly special meal for your special day, give Sean a call from Purple Pumpkin. Your choice will go down very well with all your guests and if he / she is lucky to get the same – the photographer as well.
